Harmonies of the French Masters: An Afternoon with Ravel, Debussy, and Fauré

On Sunday June 25 at 3pm (doors open at 2:30) the Harmony Auditorium will be filled with magical music when the Festival Trio performs an exceptional programme titled Harmonies of the French Masters: An Afternoon with Ravel, Debussy, and Fauré. This is a Pay-What-You-Can event! The Festival Trio members are violinist Sadie Fields (Brussels) , pianist Ken Gee (Guelph) and—new this season—rising star cellist Cameron Crozman (Montreal). Sadie, who has a busy career throughout Europe, has been Ken’s favourite duo partner from the beginning of Guelph Musicfest and happily flies back to Canada to be part of the festival. Cameron is not only a fantastic cellist but has a similar musical sensibility and fits in perfectly. The “French” program includes the Debussy Violin Sonata, short cello gems by Fauré and Joaquin Turina’s Piano Trio No. 2. Turina wasn’t French, but studied in Paris and knew and was inspired by Ravel and Debussy. It's going to be a great concert! Sadie, Cameron and Ken are thrilled to be part of the Harmony Centre’s anniversary celebrations. Tickets are on sale now at harmonycentre.ca and will be available at the door. Like all of the Ten for Ten series events, admission is Pay-What-You-Can to ensure that all are able to attend, made possible by our generous Ten for Ten sponsor, VanDolder’s Home Team.
