Come Play With Us

We accept new members throughout the season. Auditions are not necessary; our members typically have several years of playing experience.

Come and join us. Playing as a volunteer musician is an enriching and challenging experience, with opportunities for professional mentorship and musical growth. Each season, the GBS performs five full-length concerts

As a community orchestra, 80% of our playing members are dedicated volunteers, supported by a core group of professional musicians. We welcome musicians from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Rehearsals

We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7-9:30 pm at East Ridge Community School, 1550 8th Street East, Owen Sound. Rehearsals start on the 18th September until the final concert in May. Additionally there is a dress rehearsal on the day of each concert.
