It is my great pleasure to announce our Concert Program for the 47th Season!

The repertoire includes masterworks by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Britten, Dvorak, and Sibelius.

For October we are very proud to present Hübler’s Concerto for four Horns performed by our own horn players! Well-known Christmas Carols and music from the Nutcracker suite will please your ears at the Christmas Concert. The GBS has prepared a fantastic repertoire for the whole family at the February afternoon concert. March will see Vivian Chen, a very talented young Canadian pianist, present Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.2 and GBS will play the famous Symphony No.9 “From the New World” by Dvorak.

Finally, I am thrilled to present an extraordinary guest artist, Jonathan Crow, the Concert Master of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and an internationally renowned violinist. GBS will wrap up the 2018-19 season by performing Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, featuring Mr. Crow.
