Beloved CBC Radio 2 host Tom Allen joins the Georgian Bay Symphony for this evening of musical storytelling. Prokofiev’s music from the film Lieutenant Kijé and Bizet’s incidental music to the play L’arlésienne are in regular rotation on classical radio. In his characteristic jovial manner, Tom will narrate each selection and place them in their original contexts, providing new layers of appreciation for these perennial favourites.

We are very excited to have arranged this exclusive event with CBC radio personality Tom Allen and his wife harpist Lori Gemmell on the evening of Friday, October 24th. They will present a fascinating short program of music inspired by Greek mythology and including a piece by Canadian composer Murray Schafer which explores the story of Theseus and Ariadne.

Join us for an intimate evening with Tom and Lori, enjoying wine, cheese, and conversation with friends old and new.  Only 26 tickets are available for this event at $200 each (this includes a $100 tax receipt).  This is a special fundraising event for the Georgian Bay Symphony.
